Thank you all, including Barry and Ann of course, for looking after us so well these last few days. You and your hostel allowed us to hit the right balance between an educational experience and social enjoyment, which is what we were hoping for with a trip for pupils finishing their final year in our Prep School. The children clearly enjoyed it and all the reports coming back have confirmed that. Certainly Fiona, Mike and I had a great time! And so did Bosun and Coll, I think!
I hope the rooms were left in a reasonable state, the children aren't the best at cleaning up but I felt it was important that that was their responsibility, in their eyes at least.

For our part, we thought our time at Gulabin was a good success. We saw
evidence of growth in the areas of confidence and relationship building. The
range of activities made it possible to develop different individual skills.
As before, you and Mike were amazingly patient and skilled at encouraging
the young people to "take the plunge" without undue pressure. You also
maintained a good balance of authority, a sense of humour, and control. We
felt the young people were both stretched and always safe. We were very
impressed by the Clay Shoot instructor too. It was a hugely marked
improvement from last time!
We are struggling to find anything negative to say. It was a pity the
shooting was such an expense but we understand that we had 'top notch'
tuition and equipment!

"Our recent weekend with you was wonderful. The location of the hostel was perfect and with the roaring log fires it was such a warm, welcoming place to come back to after a day in miserable weather on the mountains. I thought the hostel was well equipped and the whole place had a homely feel to it. One couldn’t fail to relax! Thank you for the activities on Sunday – it was great to be able to offer these to the group, and to start my Sunday with archery at the foot of the hills with the birds singing in the air and the sun in the sky felt like a real treat. Returning to the city was difficult after a wonderful escape to the country so I do hope to visit Gulabin Lodge again sometime in the future.

Many thanks for all your help in organising our weekend, I very much appreciate it. We all had an excellent time at the lodge and having it to ourselves was a bonus. Thankfully the weather was wonderful and we all enjoyed the lovely food you cooked for the barbeque on Saturday night. It was a real treat for Douglas' birthday after we'd been hillwalking all day not having to cook and relax in beautiful surroundings. One of the guys said it was the most relaxing weekend he'd had in months! Thanks for organising the archery for the folks that remained behind, I heard lots of good things about it! I appreciate your flexibility in accommodating everyone, it was a very special time for us all. Hopefully we'll be back again soon!
