Cairnwell Mountain Sports is now a well established outdoor company of 13 years' experience providing outdoor activities all year round for all abilities and ages. Under ownership by Darren & Tereza Morgan of Gulabin Lodge since 2004, the activities have been developed to cater for everyone.
During the winter months we also facilitate the official Snow Sports School for the Glenshee Ski Centre. The centre will normally open for Xmas if there is sufficient snow and close mid April. Therefore, whether it's a family activity day out, a schools residential programme, company corporate team building event, adventure/adrenaline days out and not forgetting all of the winter sports available there is much on offer. Profiles
Darren Morgan, the owner, is an outdoor enthusiast who has been involved in the outdoors for many years. His experience of 21 years in Her Majesty's Royal Marine Commando's and working all over the world has led to him gaining the much accredited Mountaineering Instructor's Certificate (MIC). He trained as a Physical Training Instructor and along with many other qualifications in kayaking and skiing, and organising many overseas expeditions, he is well rehearsed in providing stimulating activity programmes for all concerned.
Associate Instructor Mike McClaggan has been active in the outdoors for the best part of 20 years. During this time he has walked , climbed and biked all over Scotland. He has a vast knowledge of the Scottish Mountains and has completed all of “Munros” twice . He holds outdoor qualifications in many disciplines including Mountain walking, climbing, cycling and as a qualified First Aid instructor is committed to adventure safety.
Associate Instructor Stewart Richardson has been involved in the outdoors for over 18 years. He is an active mountaineer and has climbed in Antarctica the Alps and Africa. He recently visited the summit of Mt Kilimanjaro (19,335ft) and he regularly visits clubs and groups giving talks on his experiences. He has been teaching navigation and hill skills to clubs and individuals for many years. He regularly guides on walking holidays to the highlands and islands of Scotland and he holds many qualifications for all of the outdoor activities provided.
Associate Instructor Colin Daziel (Chief Instructor-SnowBoarding) has been with the team at Glenshee Snowsports for the previous 4 seasons. He is an excellent boarder and always enthusiastic to introduce others to the sport.
